MINDFULNESS & THE BODY - KNOWING THE BODY TO RELAX THE MIND
WITH VIRGINIA WOODS
BE STRONG AND ENTER INTO YOUR OWN BODY; FOR THERE YOUR FOOTHOLD IS FIRM;
CONSIDER IT WELL, O MY HEART! GO NOT ELSEWHERE. PUT ALL IMAGINATION AWAY,
AND STAND FAST IN THAT WHICH YOU ARE - Kabir
How much are you really aware of your Body? When the yoga teacher says ‘listen to your body’ do you sense what that means in your Body or are you using your mind to decide?
Our mind is tricky and can lead us down habitual paths of responding. Learning to be aware of the Body, to truly listen to the response of the Body will guide us to greater ease, strength, and support, to inform what is needed for relaxation or action or release.
Over this one-day workshop you will be guided to explore mindfully, bringing awareness to the Body’s wisdom and playing with moving from that awareness to maintain comfort, ease, and stability, and to build confidence and joy.
For personal interest or for professionals and students to inform your work, teaching, for counselling, and enhancing somatic psychotherapy.
