How much are you really aware of your Body? When the yoga teacher says ‘listen to your body’ do you sense what that means in your Body or are you using your mind to decide? 

Our mind is tricky and can lead us down habitual paths of responding. Learning to be aware of the Body, to truly listen to the response of the Body will guide us to greater ease, strength, and support, to inform what is needed for relaxation or action or release.

Over this one-day workshop you will be guided to explore mindfully, bringing awareness to the Body’s wisdom and playing with moving from that awareness to maintain comfort, ease, and stability, and to build confidence and joy.

For personal interest or for professionals and students to inform your work, teaching, for counselling, and enhancing somatic psychotherapy.

Virginia Woods is a psychologist, dance-movement and creative arts therapist, and somatic psychotherapist (Hakomi trained). She is a spiritual seeker, has had a long practice of meditation, and trained in Shamanic healing. Through personal exploration in dance and movement she has experienced a deepening of health in body, mind and spirit. Virginia is an experienced therapist who confidently supports people to work through old patterns into being in their true experience of self. She enjoys inviting others to experience the joy and freedom of moving from their essential self: their “True Heart Dance”.
